Go Make A Difference Day
Go MAD (Make a Difference) Day is one of the most anticipated events of the year for many Northwood University students, staff, and faculty. Every year, Northwood University generously engages as many student, staff, and faculty volunteers as possible in a single day to benefit hundreds of individuals and dozens of community organizations.

Tavern 59
Tavern 59 is a partnership with Midland Brewing Company, providing a unique social event at each home football game for the community to enjoy. Tailgate at Northwood and enjoy MBC crafted beer and food made by the Northwood University leadership and staff.
The Northwood
Auto Show
The Northwood University International Auto Show (NUIAS) is the largest outdoor new car show in North America. Year after year, Northwood University students work tirelessly to display over 500 vehicles from 65 manufacturers.
NUIAS is completely free to the community — guests are not required to pay admission or parking fees.
Social Recreation
Northwood University’s campus spans more than 400 acres. Sidewalks and paths are open to walkers, runners, and leashed dogs. Cyclists are welcome on our campus and to use our roadways. If you need a break, feel welcome to share in any of our outdoor social spaces located adjacent to the mall walk.
Winter Wonderland
Every year, Northwood University hosts sponsored carriage rides that are complimentary to the public. The annual event features holiday music, kids’ crafts, and unique ways to provide your family with cherished holiday memories.
Robert and Patricia Naegele Distinguished Community Service Award
The Robert and Patricia Naegele Community Service Award was started in 2005 to honor the influence of Robert and Patricia. Through their generosity, accomplishments, ideals, and support, Robert and Patricia made the Midland and Northwood community a better place.
Northwood University annually honors new recipients of the Naegele Community Service Award, who have also enhanced the Midland community, grown Northwood University, and improved the quality of life for our students on campus. Honorees have earned recognition in business, their professions, fine arts, education, and religion.
